Bus services and timetables
Providing reliable and reasonably priced public transport is an essential part of our transport strategy.
Bus operators in Dumfries and Galloway provide few services commercially, therefore additional services are provided through local bus operators under contract to the South West of Scotland Transport Partnership (SWestrans).

Thistle Assistance
The Thistle Assistance card and app is a free service which helps people communicate to public transport staff any difficulties they may have which may not be immediately visible such as mobility, hearing or sight problems.
Use of the card also removes the necessity for travellers to explain verbally conditions or impacts which might be embarrassing or difficult to describe.
